Podcast Robot is a free service that lets an AI assistant look things up about podcasts through Podcast Index. This policy says what we record and what we do not.
There are no accounts, logins or keys. We do not store anything about you. Your assistant may pass optional preferences with a request (for example your podcast app, your city or the shows you follow) so that answers fit you; those travel with the request and are not stored by us as a profile. Your assistant keeps them, not Podcast Robot.
We record which tools are used and the search words, with no IP addresses and nothing that identifies you, only to improve Podcast Robot. Records are deleted after 30 days.
Each record holds: the time, the tool or prompt name, the arguments sent to it (long text cut short), the general kind of client (for example "Claude" or "script", taken from the request's user-agent and not stored itself), whether the call succeeded, and how long it took. Search words and any preferences sent with the request are part of the arguments. We do not record IP addresses, session identifiers, request headers or anything else that identifies a person.
To answer a request, Podcast Robot calls the Podcast Index API, reads public podcast feeds, and reads public datasets and the Podping network. Those requests carry the search terms needed to answer, not your identity. The web server in front of Podcast Robot keeps ordinary access logs for operating the service.
The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts.
The service is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone.
Podcast Robot is a service of Podcast Index LLC. The Podcast Index Privacy Policy also applies.
Where the two differ, the Podcast Robot terms on this page apply to podcastindexrobot.com: here, no IP addresses are recorded and records are deleted after 30 days. The Podcast Index Privacy Policy covers the podcastindex.org sites and services (*.podcastindex.org), including the Podcast Index API that Podcast Robot calls on your behalf; it describes its own retention, such as keeping IP addresses for 90 days.
